Born in France, DOP Claire Pie now lives in London full time. She came up working in the camera department on long form dramas and docs , and is now focused on working across more fashion and beauty campaigns , her recent clients include Jo Malone, Vyrao, Dior and Perfect Magazine.
She draws from paintings and cinema to inform the composition and texture that she translates on screen. She is keen to keep exploring the beauty of the elements of the world that interact together, to capture a certain form of perfection in the moment that passes.
She is often attracted and seduced by a scene, a face, a shape or light and through its beauty, feels the need to capture it…‘It’s very instinctive, very natural, decisive, wherever calm or in an urgency.’
